Our story
The roots of our craft begin in 1980 with artisans in Hebron. The knowledge was passed down from generation to generation, and the tradition continues today through a meticulous production and assembly process in Jerusalem.
Our story in Carmel Market
Our journey in Carmel Market began in the year 2000. Since then, we have been offering leather sandals in designs our customers have loved, which remain part of our collections to this day.
Over the years, we started seeing familiar faces returning to us — customers who chose their first pair with us, and later returned for another pair or a new color. The enduring connection and the trust built over time are an inseparable part of our story.
In our shop at the market, the variety of sandal colors catches the eyes of passersby and invites them to stop and try them on. We offer sandals for women and men, combining natural leather, everyday comfort, and simple designs that maintain their charm year after year.
Why did we choose the name Carmel Leather Sandals?
Our name is a continuation of the name by which our Carmel Market customers know us. For over twenty years of selling sandals at the market, we became known among our customers as "Carmel Tanachiot" (biblical sandals). This name became synonymous with our shop and with the sandals they keep coming back for.
We chose the name Carmel Leather Sandals to bring this identity to our online store as well, and to preserve our connection to the market and the customers who have been with us over the years.
