Leather Care Guide

The leather parts of Carmel sandals are made of natural animal leather. It is not necessarily camel leather, and not all parts of the sandal are made of leather.

How does the leather change over time?

Natural leather develops character with use. In brown shades, the color gradually lightens over time and takes on a more beautiful, natural look. The leather softens and gradually adapts to the shape of the foot, making the sandal more comfortable.

Routine Cleaning

  • Remove dust and dirt with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If necessary, use a slightly damp cloth, without soaking.
  • Do not use bleach, alcohol, or harsh cleaning agents.

Maintaining the Leather

You may occasionally use a product designed for natural leather, after testing it on a small, hidden area.

Storage

Store the sandals in a dry, ventilated place. If in doubt regarding a specific product or stain, contact us before proceeding with treatment.
