What makes Carmel sandals handmade in the Holy Land?

Carmel sandals are meticulously handcrafted by local artisans, following a tradition that has continued since 1980. The biblical design and manual finishing give every pair a local and authentic character — sandals handcrafted in the Holy Land.

How do I choose a size?

Measure the length of your foot from the heel to the tip of your longest toe and use the What is my size? tool on the product page. If you are between sizes, please contact us before ordering.

Do the Gold Comfort models contain animal-derived ingredients?

No. Both the open and closed Gold Comfort models are produced without animal-derived ingredients and are suitable for those who prefer an alternative to leather.

What is the difference between the open and closed Gold Comfort models?

The open model features two straps with adjustable buckles. The closed model covers the forefoot and includes an adjustable strap. Both models feature a soft and comfortable footbed.

Are the sandals made of natural leather?

The parts made of leather in Carmel sandals are made of natural animal leather. It is not necessarily camel leather, and not all parts of the sandal are made of leather. On brown shades, the color gradually lightens over time and takes on a more beautiful, natural look.

Do the leather sandals soften and conform to the foot?

Natural leather may soften and gradually conform to the shape of the foot. It is recommended to start by wearing them for short periods and gradually increasing the usage time.

Are the sandals suitable for a wide foot?

In models with adjustable straps, you can adjust the fit to the width of your foot. Since the fit varies between models, you can contact us with your foot measurements for assistance.

How do I care for leather sandals?

Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth, avoid soaking and harsh cleaning agents, and store in a dry, ventilated place. For full instructions, go to the leather care guide.

Where is the store located and when can I visit?

The store is located at 35 HaCarmel St., Tel Aviv. Opening hours: Sunday–Thursday 10:30–19:30, and on Fridays and holiday eves 10:30–15:30.

What about shipping and returns?

Delivery time within Israel is 3–4 business days. Delivery time for international shipments is 7–21 business days, depending on the destination country and the shipping service. For full details, see the shipping policy and return policy at the bottom of the site.

Will I receive a tracking number for my order?

Yes. After your order is shipped, a tracking number and a tracking link will be sent via email. Sometimes it takes 24–48 hours for the information to update in the shipping system.
